Follow the A970 from Lerwick turning off onto the A968 in the village of Voe - marked "North Isles Ferry" - and proceed to follow the road to its end at Toft and the ferry terminal. Ferries run at regular intervals to Ulsta on Yell (15 minute crossing). Allow 45-60 minutes for the journey from Lerwick, depending on traffic.

If you are heading to the church in East Yell follow the directions on the East Yell map page (click the image on the right of this page or this link)

If you are heading for the church on Unst carry on up the A968 from Ulsta and drive to the ferry terminal at Gutcher. Ferries run from here to Belmont on Unst (and also to Fetlar - make sure you get on the right ferry!). Allow 30 minutes for the journey. The crossing is short (10 minutes). Once on Unst follow the directions on the Haroldswick page - click the image on the right or this link.
